By concentrating, a person with the Kappa's Gift can sense water (through dowsing), purify foul water into clean, cause water to move to his will, convert water into other liquids (or other liquids into water), or even create a raging torrent out of nothingness. Powerful kappa can even breathe underwater, and are thus immune to drowning. The most powerful individuals with this Gift can see the future in a bowl of pure and clear water.
For those kappa that cannot control their emotions, things around them become damp and slick (often leading to mildew, mold, rot, or rust).
Those with the Gift of the Kappa are usually treated with respect — pure, healthful water is a necessity of survival throughout the World.
